Things To Do In The Area

Take day trips off the farmstead to experience all that the surrounding area has to offer.

In less than 45 minutes you’ll be in Saratoga Springs and Lake George, NY where you can visit golf courses, spas and vineyards, outlet shops or Six Flags. In nearby Manchester, VT you can head to the popular Bromley Mountain or Stratton Mountain Ski Resort, both offering year-round activities such as zip lining, water sports, trampolines, skiing/snowboarding or shop at the designer outlets. During the summer, bet on the horses at Saratoga Race Track or take in a concert at Saratoga Performing Arts Center, where performances vary from Dave Matthews Band to the Philharmonic. Then head back to our gorgeous oasis and rinse off the day in our salt-water pool and take a soak in the spa Jacuzzi.

  • Greenwich, NY: The next “big town” going west is Greenwich where you’ll find a larger supermarket, Hannaford, and other “important stores” and restaurants (CVS, Kmart, a liquor store, Dunkin’ Donuts, and McDonalds). There are also a variety of antique and craft stores, and a few good restaurants and cafes.
    • To get there, make a left out of the left driveway and go to the bottom of Riley Hill Road. Make a left onto South Main Street (aka Route 22) and drive out of town. Take the first right in the road at “Bob’s Lunch”, Route 29, and it will lead you all the way. It’s about a 15-minute drive.

The Village of Granville is a Historic mining town nestled in the Mettowee River Valley, a gateway to both the Adirondack Mountains and the Lakes Region of Vermont. Take a visit to Main Street and eat at one of their delicious restaurants. Two of our favorite places for lunch or dinner are:
