Read What People are Saying about Blind Buck Valley Farmstead

My friends and I had a fantastic time at Blind Buck Valley Farm House! We were a big group and accommodating everyone was no issues at all. The fire pit, the grill and the jacuzzi were definitely the highlights of the place. We had lots of fun hanging out on the patio, cooking and playing games.

This is a great house; very comfortable. It has a nice old-fashioned house feel with modern bathrooms and a nice kitchen. It’s in a beautiful setting on a working farm. They had organic eggs from the chickens in the refrigerator for us which was a really nice touch. I hope we have reason to go back to Salem as we all agreed we’d love to return to Blind Buck.

The wood stoves were great, the kitchen had everything we needed to make a few nice meals for our group of seven, and there’s a great sun room to all dine together in. The beds were all comfortable, and we really couldn’t have had a nicer time. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Sarah was a great host and the stay was exactly what we needed. We came with a group of friends with kids for a wedding in the area, and enjoyed everything from the newly installed saltwater pool and the hot tub. It’s a great place to bring kids as they have closet full of games and toys for them. The house is a historic farmhouse so don’t expect modern luxuries, but it has all the charm and character we were looking for. The vegetables and eggs we purchased from their farm was delicious and super fresh and they were always there when we needed something.

My friends and I (6 adults, three infants and one toddler) had an amazing time at Blind Buck Valley Farm. Nothing can speak more to our enjoyment than the fact that we are ready to book next year’s stay there. The house is well stocked from cooking utensils to enough bored games and toys to entertain both adults and children. The rooms are large and air conditioning units make the hot summer days and nights comfortable. The brand new pool and jacuzzi are perfect (especially the multicolored disco light setting). Marty and Lisa who run the farm were very welcoming, gave us a tour of the property, answered all of our questions and kept in touch with us throughout our stay. Of course one of the benefits of staying on a farm was some great fresh produce and eggs as well as getting to visit some chickens and very friendly goats. Sarah (our host) answered my 1,001 questions in a very prompt manner prior to our arrival and kept in touch to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Thanks so much Sarah, Lisa and Marty, we are looking forward to next year!

We had a group of guys stay here for a bachelor party. It was the perfect spot to get away for a few days. We had all the privacy you could ask for and a great outdoor space with a nice pool, hot tub, deck and grill. Check in/out was easy and Marty, the one who I check in with, was very friendly and made himself available if we needed anything. Sarah kept in great communication and was also very nice to deal with. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a little fresh country air while catching a tan by the pool. We were also able to get a cab to and from the farm to Saratoga Springs to watch the horse races. We had an awesome time! Thanks Sarah and Marty!

Stay was wonderful. Everything as described. Beautiful property with great deck, hot tub, pool. Ample room for kids to run around. Toys and games galore. The check in process provided by the Hunt’s was smooth and they were in contact with us making sure we had all we needed. Plenty of sleeping room for 10 people. We actually could have fit a few more in. Kids had a great time in pool and at fire pit in the evenings and then inside for a family game. Great get away from it all, bond with family and friends vacation. 30-40 mins away from Southern Vermont destinations and Saratoga Springs. Would love to come again.

Sarah was an excellent host! My family and I had a great time at Blind Buck Valley Farm 🙂 We enjoyed the nice heated pool as well as the jacuzzi, the kids had a great time running & playing around in all the space the house and outdoors provided. The house was filled with toys for the kids as well as movies. My family also enjoyed waking up and having a nice cup of coffee or tea in the sun room & while enjoying the peaceful scenery or a book. The house even had a high chair for my 10 month old baby girl! Thanks for a great stay! 🙂

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is really neat, it’s huge and well kept too. The kitchen and sun room were great for breakfast for our entire group. The patio, hot tub, pool and fire pit were perfect as well. The location was excellent, quiet and peaceful but close enough for a 15 min walk into town for a coffee. Sarah was a great host and the caretakers Marty and Lisa helped us get settled. We look forward to returning and highly recommend this great farmhouse for anyone traveling to the area with a group.

This place is AMAZING! Our five families with kids stumbled upon this wonderful home in our search for fall foliage, and it really made our trip. The house is huge, with lots of space for everyone. It has everything, for everyone. Games (hundreds of them) and the playroom with bunk beds for the kids. Nice bedrooms, cozy living rooms and beautiful sunroom for the parents. We especially enjoyed the new patio and backyard. It was a cold night, so we chose to gather around the fire pit, rather than in the jacuzzi, even though the water was steaming hot. In short, as said, the place is amazing. Our host Sarah is very communicative and flexible and gave us lots of good advice. Lisa, the farm manager, and her daughter Chloe, were so kind and friendly, and very helpful. They also showed us around the farm, and we could get some extra dozens of the delicious eggs to bring home (for a minimal price). All in all, staying in this place made our trip. Our thanks to Sarah, Lisa and Chloe 🙂

Our group of 12 had an absolutely amazing stay here! Not only was the house beautiful, spacious, and comfortable, but it was also equipped with all our basic needs and more (they have an amazing selection of games!) To make the trip even better, the farm managers Lisa and Marty who were our points of contract were communicative, welcoming, and answered all of our questions. Thanks for an amazing weekend!

Sarah is an amazing host. Extremely quick in all communication and very friendly as well. We loved everything about our trip. The house is perfect for large groups and it is well equipped with anything and everything you could ever want, need, or expect. It was full of great surprises! We were greeted by Lisa who takes care of the barn and the animals. She warmly welcomed us and gave us a quick tour of the house. We felt at home right away. This is a great place for anyone who wants to have a cozy, relaxing time in a beautiful place. It’s also very close to the middle of the quaint village of Salem which is full of the loveliest people. We hope to be back soon!
